Having a wireless network opens up many possibilities.

Wireless networks provide an inexpensive and easy way to share a single Internet connection among several computers. This means you only need one modem, and you can add additional computers to the network just by plugging in a wireless card and turning them on. The new machines are connected to the Internet immediately.

A wireless network also lets you access files and printers from anywhere in your home. It allows you to synchronize files you have on your laptop with your home computer, and you can easily send files between computers as well. Using a wireless network to transfer files is faster than sending them via e-mail or burning them to a CD! Because printers connected to one of the computers on a network are shared by all the computers on that network, you can write documents anywhere in your home, press the print button, and collect the printed files from a printer that is connected to another computer.

If you are a game player, youve probably noticed that your games often have an option to play over a local area network or LAN. Wireless networks are LANs! This means you and your family can play these games together and dont have to be on computers that are next to each other to do so. Lets face it its more fun to play against real people, and its even more fun to play against people you know instead of strangers on the Internet. Your games will also play much faster over your LAN. Additionally, you can connect game consoles to the Internet and begin playing these games online. It is much easier to experience online play through an Xbox or PlayStation 2 that is connected to a wireless network than have to use a modem!

Wireless network connections are always on. This means you can connect to the Internet whenever you want without waiting for your modem to dial in. Laptops can be carried from room to room, and they will always have access to the Internet. Since wireless networks operate without the need to log in, you dont need to set up usernames or passwords.

The single greatest thing about a wireless network is that it is, well, wireless! The biggest reason to have a wireless network is because it eliminates the need for costly, ugly, and dangerous wires trailing all over your house. You can use your computer in any room you want no more being trapped near a phone outlet or walking over that tangle of wires in your home. The cost of getting enough ethernet cables can add up, and sometimes, you may even have to make holes in your walls to set up a wired network. If youre renting, of course, this is impossible. With a wireless network, you dont have these problems - you can even use your computer outside if you want! And if you move, there is no need to disconnect and pack up all those wires, and you no longer have to examine all the wires for damage whenever your Internet connection goes down.

Scotland has throughout its history been playing Soccer. Historically scottish soccer players werent limited to 11 players per team, whole villages of scottish soccer devotees used to challenge other villages to a game.

The rules of soccer at that point werent very uniform and there was little if any provisions against violence, because of this attempts were made to outlaw the game, with King James I even saying in Parliament, "That na man play at the Fute-ball" (No man shall play football/soccer). Despite the attempts of clerics, sheriffs, mayors and even a King the game was kept alive by scottish soccer players.

As times changed Soccer became a widely accepted sport again, firstly being played at school and universities. At these institutions the rules for soccer were formalized to something closely resembling todays game. The games popularity then spread beyond the school campuses, and local soccer clubs were formed, soccer became a popular spectator sport with blue-collar workers.

With the wide acceptance and popularity of soccer, the World's first international game was set up, between Scotland and England. The game took place on 30 November 1872. The scottish side was one of Scotlands oldest and most established Soccer club, Queens Park. Two thousand people came to the game and saw the last and possibly biggest revolution in the playing of the game. The scottish team introduced a whole new aspect to the game that day, a team based approach utilizing, passing. Up till then the way the game was played was to muscle the ball up the field in Rugby like fashion, after that game the english began adopting a playing style to match the scottish soccer team, and Soccer in its current form was born.

The scottish soccer team did not exist that day in the form that we now understand; soccer was played by Universities or Clubs, with no central organization to elect a national team. There was no scottish team picked from the best players around, but a club to represent the whole country. To cope and control the rising popularity of the game Scotland formed a Football association three month after the first match between England and Scotland. Wales then followed and formed a FA in 1875, and then Ireland in 1880. England on the other hand had formed their Football association in 1863. With the formation of a Football association, Scotland was able to establish leagues, tournament and even a national team.

With forty two different professional teams over two different leagues, it is understandable that Scotland has some of the most dedicated Soccer fans in the world; this also applies to the female fans. Scotland has also always had a strong legion of female soccer lovers and players. Seeming to always be pioneers in the game Scotland and England were also the first two countries to have an international womans match. Fifty three thousand people came to watch this event, in which unfortunately the scottish soccer team lost 22-0.

The first players appeared in Japan in November, 1996, followed by U.S. players in March, 1997, with distribution limited to only 7 major cities for the first 6 months. Players slowly trickled in to other regions around the world. prices for the first players in 1997 were $1000 and up. By the end of 2000, players were available for under $100 at discount retailers. In 2003 players became available for under $50. Six years after the initial launch, close to one thousand models of dvd players were available from over a hundred consumer electronics manufacturers.

Fujitsu supposedly released the first dvd-ROM-equipped computer on Nov. 6 in Japan. Toshiba released a dvd-rom-equipped computer and a dvd-rom drive in Japan in early 1997 (moved back from December which was moved back from November). dvd-rom drives from Toshiba, Pioneer, Panasonic, Hitachi, and Sony began appearing in sample quantities as early as january 1997, but none were available before May. The first PC upgrade kits (a combination of dvd-rom drive and hardware decoder card) became available from Creative Labs, Hi-Val, and diamond Multimedia in April and May of 1997.

Today, every major PC manufacturer has models that include dvd-rom drives. The price difference from the same system with a CD-rom drive ranges from $30 to $200 (laptops have more expensive drives). upgrade kits for older computers have been available over the years for $100 to $700 from companies such as Creative Labs, DynaTek, E4 (Elecede), Hi-Val, Leadtek, Margi Systems (for laptops), media Forte, Pacific Digital, Sigma Designs, Sony, Toshiba, Utobia, and others.

Note: If you buy a player or drive from outside your country (e.g., a japanese player for use in the US) you may not be able to play region-locked discs on it.

The first dvd-Audio players were released in Japan by Pioneer in late 1999, but they did not play copy-protected discs. Matsushita (under the Panasonic and Technics labels) first released full-fledged players in July 2000 for $700 to $1,200. dvd-Audio players are now also made by Aiwa, Denon, JVC, Kenwood, Madrigal, Marantz, Nakamichi, Onkyo, Toshiba, Yamaha, and others. Sony released the first SACD players in May 1999 for $5,000. Pioneer's first dvd-Audio players released in late 1999 also played SACD. SACD players are now also made by Accuphase, Aiwa, Denon, Kenwood, Marantz, Philips, Sharp, and others.

During the many years spent wasting my time on the golf course, It has been my observation that some golfers can play with about any kind of swing...and some golfers can play with most any kind of clubs.

I think I fall into the first group. The few times I have built up the courage to go to a pro for lessons, has been a frustrating experience for the pro. The pro usually walks away in disgust after a few attempts at analyzing the subtle mechanics of my swing. One pro even refunded my money and begged me not to tell anyone he had given me lessons.

Yet, somehow I managed to hit the ball and play with about a 12 handicap. How is this possible with a hack swing that is way to flat and way to short with the weight shift of a run away hippo. It's hard to say...but I think it is due to my excellent choice of clubs.

If you look in my bag, which always has a few too many clubs in it, you will find a hodgepodge mixture of this and that. Its something that just happened over a period of time. I really don't know how a person can play with a matched set of clubs.

IN MY BAG

A Titliest D75D driver that I always carry. This Titleist driver is the only driver I could ever hit with any slight consistency. I can hook the ball, slice it or hit it straight with this club...I just never really know when it's going to happen. Usually, there's another newer driver that I am trying out, you never know when you might find the Holy Grail.

A hogan H40 3 wood. I used this club as my driver for years and I still fall back on it when the real drivers become uncontrollable...which is often. In fact, I can hit this club very consistently...I don't know why I even carry a driver. I guess it's a macho/ego thing.

A Cobra low profile utility wood. This is a good club out of the rough...depending on how the ball is sitting up. If the ball is sitting up too high, I sometimes pop it up...most embarrassing. Come to think of it, I probably should retire this club and just hit my three wood, but I can consistently hook this club and a hook out of the rough is a good shot the have in your bag. If I need to slice it, I grab my two iron.

Six through PW cleveland SP2 irons. These clubs were made famous by Corey Pavin when he had his hot streak in the 80's. These are my money clubs and I love these irons. Unfortunately, they are very ugly with that tremendous offset shank. I had to endure a lot of ribbing when I first began carrying theses irons. My golfing buddies still call them garden tools.

Two through five wilson blades. These are the surving members of my first set of irons I purchased in the sixties...that four iron is really sweet.

A Titliest one iron just for looks. I feel closer to God when I have it in my hand. I also use it a lot on the practice tee...I figure if I can learn to hit it, the other clubs will be a piece of cake.

A pair of 588 RTG cleveland wedges. I really like that soft patina the clubs acquire after a little age. The only problem is my shiny spot is on the toe.

I also carry an old Golfsmith high lofted sand wedge, about a 62-degree I think...I occasionally like to try that famous over the head, Phil Nickleson shot. I never have been able to hit it...but I still keep practicing. I think it's a real handy shot to have in your bag.

An early Ping putter, never could putt very well with it, but I really like the sound when you strike the ball. I think it annoys my opponents.

That rounds out my set of golf clubs...with the exception of a few other clubs that I carry just because. Good golf is just a matter of matching the club to your swing and since I may have several different, swings on any given day the clubs I carry are entirely necessary. The only thing holding me back from breaking into the seventies is the load restrictions on my cart.

Fantasy football players rarely pay much attention to National Football League rookies, during their fantasy football drafts. Rookies, you see, are not usually worth much to fantasy teams. It takes most rookies a year or two or in many cases even three or four to get fully acclimated to the nfl. Consequently, competitive fantasy football people usually steer clear of them.

This year may be different. More nfl rookies will likely appear on fantasy rosters than in the past decade, because this draft is rich with impact players. Thats right, rookies that can actually play this year and contribute to fantasy football rosters some even as starters. I see at least seven players taken in the first round of the NFLs draft that can start on fantasy teams, depending on how many teams are in your league. Obviously, smaller leagues (8 and 10 team leagues) will be too rich with veteran talent to have rookies as starters. Following is an assessment of these players and others to keep an eye on as you prepare for your fantasy draft. Notice the QBs are left out, as they wont contribute much, even if they start.

The seven nfl first-rounders to target are: Ronnie Brown, Braylon Edwards, Cedric Benson, Carnell Williams, Troy Williamson, Mike Williams and Mark Clayton. Brown, Benson and Williams are potential starters in any fantasy league. In one of the best running back classes in recent memory, these guys will enter their rookie campaigns as feature backs for miami, chicago and Tampa Bay, respectively. These teams have proven that with the right guy toting the mail, they all can produce fantasy stars.

Although not the best player, Benson is probably the best pick of all the rookies, in terms of fantasy football value. He is a no-brainer in basic scoring leagues. Hell be the starter from day one, and some experts have called him the best goal line runner ever to come out of college. If healthy, Benson could easily rush for 12 or more TDs in his inaugural nfl season.

Edwards is an immediate starter for the Browns, and this guy is a true stud. Although he can start in some fantasy football leagues, youll want to get him later, as Cleveland is a team that hasnt shown much in recent years. Edwards is a steal, if you can get him in later rounds. Then, let him sit for a few weeks, and watch his production. The same goes for Williams, taken by Detroit, and Clayton, selected by Baltimore. Both of these receivers will likely start for their new teams, but a wait-and-see attitude is indicated, as both teams are in weak passing offenses, although the sky is the limit for the Lions who have selected a wideout with their first pick in each of the last three seasons.

Aside from these seven, there are several players taken after the first round of the nfl draft that are worth drafting on fantasy football teams. most notably is J.J. Arrington, taken at number 12 in round two by Arizona. Dennis green loves this guy and hinted on draft day that Arrington will be his feature back. This guy is a compact runner and has a nose for the end zone. A feature back on an improving Cardinals team could be a big scorer for fantasy teams.

The easiest steal in your fantasy football draft will be Ryan Moats, taken in the third round by Philadelphia. Moats, a smallish tailback from Louisiana Tech, could surprise for an Eagles team in need of a star at the position. Although hell likely be relegated to special teams and third-down use early on, watch for him to emerge, especially if someone gets hurt. He is a quick slashing runner and a real workhorse, despite his 5-8, 210-pound frame. An eye-popping senior season saw him log 288 carries for 1,774 yards and 18 touchdowns. His 1,890 all-purpose yards set a school record, as he proved he can catch the ball with nearly equal acumen. With a career average per carry of 6.4 and 28 TDs, Moats is definitely worth watching. Grab this hard worker in the late rounds of your draft, and wait for him to get his turn. If the stars align in Philadelphia, you might just get yourself the steal of your fantasy football draft.

Here are a few other notables you may want to watch for a late selection or a free-agency pickup, as the season moves ahead:

1Heath Miller, TE taken by Pittsburgh: Would be ranked higher, because hell probably start, but tight ends are always a big question mark. If you are in a fantasy league that requires you to take a tight end, Miller is a good one.

2Vernand Morency, RB selected by Houston: Watch for an injury to Domanick Davis and grab Morency the second it happens.

3Maurice Clarett, RB taken by Denver: They love him and would like to see him prove all of the critics wrong. Hell get a chance to play.

4Matt Jones, WR selected by Jacksonville: Many feel the former QB is the best athlete in the nfl draft. At 6-6 with 4-5 speed and great hands, who knows?

5Roddy White, WR taken by atlanta in the first round. Very fast and underrated. The Falcons saw little from Michael Jenkins last season, so keep a close eye on White.

6Chris Henry, WR taken by Cincinnati. Very big and fast. Could be a factor around the goal line in three and four receiver sets.

7Reggie Brown, WR selected by Philadelphia. The Eagles have a few question marks at the position, not the least of which is the bizarre antics of Terrell Owens.

8Ciatrick Fason, RB taken by minnesota. With running back being so unsettled, Fason could emerge as the starter. Watch this one very closely.
